EDCON HACK

EDCON2019 is part of Community Ethereum Development series, organized by LinkTime, one of the Chinese Ethereum community representatives. The purpose of the conference is to improve communications among various Ethereum communities and to promote Ethereum ecosystem development on a global scale. 

EDCON HACK is a 48-hour Hackathon, focusing on technology implementation and innovation. World wide best and brightest hackers from all over the world will form teams for 48 hours of coding, learning and demonstrating ideas. We open to the hackers of all level, from the beginner to veteran. EDCON Hackathon team will provide supplementary resources, mentorship, and food for the candidates in need. Don’t hesitate to join us!

Q: Can I participate if I don't have any hacking experience?

A: Of course! EDCON HACK is open to hackers of all levels. Don't hesitate to join us!

 

Q: How much is the application fee? What materials do I need to provide for the application?

A: The hacker application is FREE of charge. All you need to provide is your: full name, email address, country, company name, telegram/twitter Github Link. And a CV will be very helpful in terms of evaluation.

 

Q: How much do I need to pay to register as a visitor? 

A: Visitor is FREE of charge. Cheer for the hackers on-site!

 

Q: How to register as a hacker/visitor?

A: Go to https://www.edcon.io/hackathon and click the "Register as A Hacker"/"Register as A Visitor" button. Fill in the required infomation and you'll be all set!

 

Q: Who can I turn to if I met some problems? Are there any materials for me to learn before the hackathon?

A:

1) We've had 9 live online workshops covering all the 6 topics. You can check the recommended learning materials and the workshop recordings on the workshop page(Click the"worshop" in the agenda units).

2) We'll invite all the qualified hackers to our Slack groups, by then you'll be able to ask any questions about the hackathon topics and the mentors will answer them online.

3) There will also be on-site mentors whom you can ask for help in time.

So, no worries at all!
